Hunterdon Hematology and Oncology (HHO) is a team of accomplished doctors dedicated to fighting cancer. They are known for working around the clock, improving livelihoods and saving lives. The practice was working with talented graphic designer Mike Brennan who also happens to be a friend of Robb Digital Marketing. Mike recognized HHO’s web design issues and lack of traffic being driven to their site. This prompted Mike to introduce them to Robb Digital. We were ready to help HHO achieve digital health!
Before we could address their SEO issues our first challenge was their overall web design. A simple, flawless, user-friendly website was essential. We conquered that challenge with a website redesign, giving them a more user-friendly platform to work with. From there it was time to address their SEO challenges. Now that HHO has the ideal web platform, it was vital their visibility on Google matched. At this point, HHO wasn’t ranking on Google or getting traffic from the search engines, and it was high time we changed that, driving patients who need them to their new website!
Our Winning Solution
After performing an SEO audit and conducting extensive research, HHO came to us with a new treatment option they were offering to patients undergoing chemotherapy known as scalp cooling. In December of 2018, our team created a page to market this new treatment option on their site. Immediately after, our team added the term “scalp cooling treatment” into our tracking records. It was detected that this keyword was a popular search term among other medical groups, many of which were actively bidding on the term “scalp cooling treatment.” This lead our SEO team to create a content strategy to rank on Google for the term and spread the word to patients about how they could help.
After creating a page for “scalp cooling treatment” they appeared #79 (page 8) in January of 2019. This was the first appearance in Google for the keyword. From there it was full steam ahead, as the page rapidly improved its position by 51 spots in February 2019, ranking at #28 (page 3) on Google. By March of 2019 HHO’s page was ranking organically on page 1 (position #9).
With a beautifully redesigned site and a web page that was ranking on page 1 of Google, it was about time HHO started to see the traffic they were longing for.
